Even to whom believes to recognize the features in the Man of the Shroud, the face of Jesus remains a mystery. Along the centuries, generations and generations of artists have been trying to loose this enigma, representing Christ as a suffering victim and as a liberator hero, as king and master, fulcrum of the creation and keystone of the human circumstances. The most extraordinary gallery of images has so born.

In the iconography of Jesus' life three groups of works can be distinguished: the great moments of redemption ( from Nativity to Pentecost ), the magnalium ( great actions, miracles ) and the parables.
